We are also trying out having kids events in the garden to encourage curiosity and interest in nature for our kids!

May 27:  Kids can come and help us plant warm weather crops like onions, corn, beans, sunflowers and more
June 3: Kids can come and help us transplant flowers, tomatoes, and peppers into the shared beds
Sept 16: Kids can come and help us harvest crops and seeds
Sept 23: Kids can come and help us harvest crops and seeds

We added the requirement to attend two work sessions to the gardener's contract this year.  Thanks to everyone who signed up for their work sessions at the meeting last week! 

As always, it is great if you can help at additional sessions as many hands make light work.

The scheduled work sessions are:
April 23: 9 - 12 pm - Complete & thank you!
May 15: 1 - 4 pm
May 28: 12 - 3 pm
June 18: 9 - 12 pm
June 26: 1 - 4 pm
July 23: 9 - 12 pm
Oct 22: 9 - 12 pm

People have started putting in their plants and seeds, and last fall's bulbs are up and smiling at the sun!

Today was a scorcher at 28 degrees - pretty awesome for May 2nd!  Average last frost date is May 7th for Edmonton!!!
