Coffee Party!!!

4/29/2016

To get our community interaction going, we've schedule a few coffee parties throughout the growing season.
We are encouraging people to bring spare bedding plants and spare produce to share with others or donate to charities if we have a bumper year.

These are intended to be short, informal sessions to get some tidying done, but mostly check in with your neighbour gardener or help out if someone is on vacation and their bed needs some loving care!

There will be coffee parties on:
May 4 - 9:30 to 10:30 am
May 12 - 7:30 to 8:30 pm
June 1 - 9:30 to 10:30 am
June 9 - 7:30 to 8:30 pm
July 6 - 9:30 to 10:30 am
July 14 - 7:30 to 8:30 pm
Aug 3 - 9:30 to 10:30 am
Aug 11 - 7:30 to 8:30 pm
Sept 7 - 9:30 to 10:30 am

Keep an eye on the calendar to keep up with planned events!

Garden Plots Assigned and Work Parties Have Started!

4/28/2016

April 20th was our garden contract/plot assignment meeting, potluck and blessing of the land.  Thanks to everyone who came for the events and supported the garden!

There may be a 4'x4' plot left, if you are interested in signing up, please send us an email using the contact page or fpcgcontact@gmail.com.

The first work session was held on Saturday April 23rd.  While it wasn't the warmest spring day, all volunteers got a lot of cleanup work done and identified some materials we need to pick up to support the 2016 growing season.  Thanks Everyone!!

Pruning and Bud Grafting Seminar 2016

4/19/2016

THi Folks!

We've set up a pruning and bud grafting seminar for the 2016 growing year!  The event proceeds will go the the community garden, and will give interested gardeners a chance to learn more about pruning and grafting for increased fruit production!

Thanks to Joachim for volunteering his time to run the session, info below, and on the Facebook page. Signup will start at our meeting this Thursday!
